Mental Health Act Assessment

I was told this afternoon, just before 5pm, that my CMHT were going to request a mental health act assessment. I have heard nothing since. I think they said someone would contact me before 6, but obviously this hasn't happened.

Will this happen tonight? Not having any idea what is happening is just making me feel worse. I don't even know who to contact to find out what's going on.

The crisis team will have access to your notes, so you can contact them out of hours if need be and ask what is going on.

I agree with XenoBitch. It can take several days, it's hard to predict. I'm sorry that you're in this position, just try to be honest with them.

Have you heard anything further? It's not helpful I'm sure to be left waiting, I hope you have had further contact from CMHT?
