£25 to share your experience of being referred to CAMHS with us!
We are holding some online focus groups to learn about where problems exist in the referral process when children and young people are being referred to child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), and to help us understand the barriers to making appropriate referrals. We are particularly interested in hearing from parents and/or carers who have experience in the CAMHS referral process and would be able to share that experience with us.
The project is called EnCAMHS (Enhancing Referrals to CAMHS) and it is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). Once we understand some of the difficulties associated with making CAMHS referrals, we want to improve the quality of referrals to CAMHS so that only children and young people who can be helped by CAMHS are referred; and so that others can be guided to receive help they need elsewhere.
We are holding focus groups on the following dates:
For those in Greater Manchester:
• Thurs 18th Nov, 1-2
• Weds 24th Nov, 1-2
• Fri 26th Nov, 11-12
For those anywhere else in England:
• Fri 19th Nov, 12:30-2
