Hello all, I'm a 59 year old male, new to the fold and was wanting to ask some advice please.

I've been on Citalopram 20mg for 5 years, I also take Ezitimibe, Amlodipine, Losartan, Opemrazole and Propranalol. I don't seem to be having any side effects and can manage my life fairly OK. However, I've never been a good sleeper and have always suffered from Instrusive Thoughts, but in the last year, my sleep pattern is getting worse and the thoughts are becoming more bizarre, aggresive and odd. I'm not a violent bloke and never have been, but I do suffer from a flight issue and have been known to just get up and leave a possible dodgy situation before it flares up and if I feel threatened.
Does anyone else suffer from this and what do they do about it?

Thank you.

So apart from your antidepressants, you’re on a range of meds for high blood pressure? Worth checking with a pharmacist if any of these or combination can cause disturbed sleep and/or intrusive thoughts.
Otherwise I’d look at this book, it’s excellent and includes CDs to relax and refocus your thoughts:

Thank you Sparkling Lime, I'll certainly take a look at the link you've sent me.

I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow afternoon and have made several notes about the way I'm feeling.

Thank you.
