anyone else on here coeliac and noticed a correlation between getting glutened and a subsequent drop in mood and energy?

No, but I have been reading about coeliac disease recently. Apparently when you get glutened as a coeliac, levels of zonulin rise in your gut and it can contribute to intestinal permeability. When that happens, you can get inflammation throughout your whole body, including your brain.

Yes @Closterfack! Definitely. Sometimes I wonder if it’s because I’m annoyed I’ve tripped up and been gluten but I’m convinced eating gluten makes me feel depressed.

I've heard of this too, I'm not coeliac but I have suspected leaky gut and it sounds like it has the same effect. Certain food particles like gluten and dairy are more able to pass through the intestinal lining and get into your bloodstream which can cause mood disturbance.

Yes, my mum is coeliac. If she gets "glutened" she becomes exhausted & can hardly get out of bed.

I get this too as a suspected coeliac (never got a positive blood test, but had already eliminated gluten when I did the test). I avoid gluten and cross contamination and can tell it I've been glutened because of the exceptional fatigue on top of digestive issues.

100% yes. Including gluten-free wheat which fucks me over too.
