My younger brother is 25.
Diagnosed with schizophrenia at just age 14 after a psychotic episode with a years stay in hospital.
Two drugs where tried and did not work. They then tried clozapine and he has been stable for many years.
This last year or so he is relapsing despite still taking his medication and them checking his bloods for the amount in his body . Apparently the levels are v v high and they was worried about seizures.
He has now been on another medicine alongside clozapine for 3 weeks and no change yet.
Frequent episodes of hearing voices.
I always thought relapses only happened if you discontinued your medication and feel quite worried he won't get better again
