Antidepressant in pregnancy-does it work?

Hello everyone. My first post here. I had been on AD for depression/anxiety for 2.5 years and felt great on it. Felt pregnant on it (yay! Been trying for ages) and stopped it after positive test. Now really struggling with depression for weeks-spoke to GP who advised restarting it. I keep thinking it won’t work as my hormones are all over the place and too strong for the AD. Would like some positive stories of AD working during pregnancy and roughly how long it took? Can’t see a way out atm

I was pregnant on them. I did pretty well
I read somewhere that even Amanda Seyfried was on them while pregnant.
