Antidepressants in pregnancy (esp. mirtazapine and/or duloxetine)

Put this in pregnancy first but got no response! Trying again here Smile

Hi all, not been on mumsnet for about 4 years (well, only lurking creepily Blush), and wasn't sure whether to start this thread in mental health or preg but thought I'd try here first.

Those of you who have been on antidepressants, which one, anyone on mirtazapine/duloxetine or even both (as I am!)? How did these affect your pregnancy? My psych has said they are OK during preg but can reduce the dose of the mirtazapine a bit as that one would be the more concerning.

Don't want to really discuss the safety or not of taking these pills/other anti-depressant's during pregnancy as I have spoken to my psych who is an expert, but I did want real-life experiences from women who've taken them during pregnancy/whilst trying to conceive. How did you feel on them? Has it affected your baby at all?

Also, have gained SO MUCH weight on mirtazapine Blush Shock - has anyone been on mirtazapine/an anti-depressant known to cause weight gain and gradually reduced it? Did you find the sugar cravings stopped/you were able to lose weight more easily on a reduced dose?

Thanks and sorry for all the questions Smile
