Does this sound like depression or an eating disorder or something else?
DH has diagnosed depression and anxiety and is medicated. He also has undiagnosed (but professionally suggested) ADHD.
He will frequently not eat for a couple of days at a time, sometimes 3-4 days, either because he can’t decide what to have or because there’s nothing he wants. Even when the cupboards and fridge are full - including items he put on the shopping list - there’s “nothing” or it’s “all disgusting”. Then he gets to the point where he has such awful stomach cramps from not eating that he can physically hardly eat and when he does he has painfull stomach ache. There seems to be a half hour slot where he can eat but if he goes past that it will be another day with nothing.
I can’t fix him, I know that, but knowing which “peg” to hang it on would be helpful to me personaly in terms of how to respond when he’s complaining.
