Has anyone had experience of someone being temporarily placed by NHS in private care?

Due to the bed crisis and my adult daughter being a danger to herself, after 4 days of being watched 1 to 1 she has been transferred to a private facility in another part of the country until an NHS bed nearer to home becomes available. The facility said they have had people arrive and then be sent back as soon as 8 hours later.

She arrived late on Friday and hasn’t been properly assessed yet or started any programme due to the bank holiday. Has anyone had experience of this type of arrangement and, if so, how long did the patient stay in the private facility? Was it really disruptive to then transfer to a different care programme?

My dd has been to a private ward but only until the nhs found her a local nhs bed.

She was there one week although there were patients from other nhs trusts who had been there longer. Hope she feels better soon.
