Sertraline and ?

Im on the max dose of sertraline for depression, which keeps me grounded. Im currently going through some stress which is sending my anxiety through the roof. I have a GP appointment next week but I wondered if anyone knew of an anxiety medication that works well with sertraline?

I think - although I may be wrong - that only a psychiatrist can prescribe multiple types of ADs. You might be able to get something like beta blockers to get the anxiety under control from the GP though which might help?
