Struggling

So I've been depressed for a while but have been doing okay. I'm having some health issues, I have a cyst on my ovary which needs further investigation so obviously I'm worried. This seems to have pushed me back into full blown depression, crying, can't eat or sleep, feel hopeless. Don't know why I'm writing this but I feel very alone.

Hi @Slayerofmyth, sorry to hear that and always happy to listen.

Is the cyst related to fertility issues?

I know what it's like when your struggling to function with the day to day stuff like eating and sleeping, it's overwhelming. Sending you huge hugs and a listening ear if you want one 💐

Thankyou. No I'm 52 and entering menopause. The Dr says it's a fluid filled cyst in two parts, and they cannot rule out it's not cancer. I have to have a blood test first and from those results the next step will be taken. It's scary and my progress with my depression seems to have gone back to square one.

That would worry me too, especially if I was already feeling down. What were your symptoms that lead to the cyst being spotted?

I get that the doctors have to rule out anything untoward and I'm thankful that they do but there's every possibility that it's nothing serious and if you have bloods done etc you might get to the bottom of why you are feeling low as well?
