Core 10 score

I've had an assessment with a psychologist who advised me to contact my GP as my core 10 score was 32.

What does this mean and what will/can the gp do?

The psychologist has suggested counselling sessions but said I must contact GP as soon as I can.

What's going to happen to me?

I don't know what a core 10 score is. Can you elaborate?

It's a stress/depression/anxiety test thing issues by psychologist. The score grades are
0-5 healthy
5-10 low level
10-15 mild distress
15-20 moderate distress
20-25 moderate severs distress
25-40 severe distress

CORE is Clinical Outcomes Routine Evaluation.

It is an outcomes measure used by services.

A score of 32 is not unusual, but likely an indicator that you may need some support. The support offered may vary, depending on your personal preference for help and what is available locally. This could all be discussed with your GP, as to what is available, and what that might look like for you. Get the GP to explain what your options are then you can make an informed choice.

You are a capacious adult. You can choose if you want help and what that help might look like. Nothing will 'happen to you'. Your Psychologist should have explained this to you.

Hope you get sorted Flowers
