Recently been struggling with my DD. She was in hospital in October for an attempt and luckily hasn’t attempted since. CAMHS gave us some counselling service numbers however it didn’t do anything for her. I suspect she didn’t open up to them as her school counsellor said the same previously. Recently found out she had been taking zopiclone that wasn’t prescribed to her to sleep and that she has been feeling like she did in October for a while. GP sent her to counselling which she said didn’t help. I can’t afford private at the minute. Any tips? Sad

Has she tried antidepressants?

She refused when the GP offered them.

There isn't really much to be done then. I take it she's done all the usual stuff like healthy eating, exercise, leave the house every day etc?

If she refuses to try medication, refuses to engage with NHS therapists and you can't afford private care there is nothing else to be done. You can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped.
