Citalopram withdrawals

Hi all

So I have been on 10mg Citalopram for about 3 years now.
Just over 3 weeks ago I caught Covid and have been poorly, now recovered.
Yesterday I realised that while being ill I have completely forgot to take my Citalopram, I have one left also and forgot to reorder them due to being unwell.
I have wanted to come off them for a while, I started them after having a baby with PND and they helped a lot, but life has changed a lot, I have a great job, home husband and life is a million times better. I don’t feel depressed and don’t wish to take them anymore.

For the last 2 days I have had brain fog, to the point where I was crying last night, today was more bearable. I’m guessing this is withdrawal.

My question is, I have done 3 weeks without them, should I carry on or should I take 5mg and wean down? Have spoken to doctor who has given me the choice.

Any advice?

Thanks

If you’ve done 3 weeks you should be over the worst of it, I would just keep going now

Thank you, that’s my thoughts too, just googled (I know I shouldn’t!!) and petrified of having some sort of nervous breakdown!!
