Main self care unavailable

My bathtub is leaking. This is the pettiest of problems in real life. I still have access to a shower. I have the money to pay the obscene replacement costs. For long and complicated reasons, it’s already been a few months since I’ve been able to use the tub and realistically, it’s going to be several more before the repairs are done. This shouldn’t be a big deal.

Except that it turns out that it is. I never realized it, but my baths are pretty much the cornerstone of my self-care and without them I’m encountering depression for the first time. I’ve always had anxiety, but I’m on top of that. I’ve met with my GP, take meds, done CBT, practice self care. Except suddenly, the thing I do when I really need to relax is gone and I don’t know what to do with myself. My spouse is CEV so I can’t really go out much. Hitting a gym for a hot tub soak is not possible. Whatever I do to take care of myself needs to be based at home.

Im just not sure what to do. I’ve literally used regular baths to relax since I was a kid and I’m now middle-aged. I didn’t realize how important it was to me until it was unavailable.

If the bath is being replaced then can you bodge a temporary leak fix? I’m picturing large and unlovely wodges of silicon sealant, paddling pool leak patches, etc.

A patch is what my DH wants to do. He says we can fill up the tub and he will wedge himself underneath and coat the spot with a ridiculous amount of sealant. It’s just dobe so much damage to the ceiling below already that I am afraid of causing more.

I’m skeptical I can actually relax in the tub when I’m worried that every minute I am in there I might be causing more damage.
