Its causing more anxiety than I had before i took it! I feel sick and have spikes of anxiety where I am really tense and feel sick. Struggling to be hungry and no technique is calming me down I have to wait for it to pass. I've taken it before but can't remember it being like this!

Please can you share your stories on how long it took to get over this part please. Dont want to give up on it but its defo causing more harm than good right now! I'm on 50mg starting. X

I tried sertraline beginning of this year and started on 50mcg it was the worst week of my life.

I then found out after it is advisable to start on 25mcg for week one then increase the dose.

I took my first 25mcg pill last night as planning on going back on them but am now freaking out about it and may not go on them at all.

But I am struggling too

So in summary I'm saying perhaps drop the dose for the rest of the week then go back to 50mcg

My first two weeks on sertraline were like that. But it does get better, hang on in there

Weirdly I am on day 2 of sertraline and so far I feel unnaturally but not unpleasantly mentally still and calm. Like my need to seek, search and research has reduced, and the waves of adrenaline reduced. Does everyone find they get worse before they get better? Or do some people not have that?

I do have a mild headache and episodes of mild nausea too.

Hi

I totally know where you are coming from, so you are not alone and it is completely normal!

I myself am on day 15 of 25 mg and the first week was AWFUL but it gets so much better I can already feel them working.

I need to move up to 50mg as advised by the dr ( recommended I split into 25 until I was ready to move up) but my issue is now, I don’t want side effects to kick in all over again when I up my dose.

Hope u are feeling better soon xx
