Hi all.
Just to share my experience with the mini pill. I went on it shortly after having my baby and suffered severe anxiety and depression, I was thinking baby blues but I just felt worried all the time and will admit I am ashamed of how terrible my mood was.

Went off it for a few weeks felt much better (3 months into maternity leave) as I was scared of losing it and hurting myself or the baby. I started worrying about getting pregnant again so went back on it.
Hated maternity leave I felt bipolar, this is last summer.
I've persisted with it since then and recently thinking I can't take this anymore feeling suicidal, I was very easy to anger and fighting with dh all the time, went off it again.
The past 2 weeks I have felt normal, a lot calmer. The constant pit of anxiety in my stomach is gone, work doesn't fill me with dread, my baby doesn't frustrate me at all no matter how trying he can be. I'm able to completely ignore any feelings of annoyance and not snap or escalate. i honestly feel like a completely different person, just an ocean of calm, similar to how I was before the baby.
I never had these feelings as bad as on the combined pill but I can say with confidence the mini pill has definitely affected me. I know my sister had similar issues so had to stop taking it.
If anyone out there has personality changes after taking the pill I recommend you stop taking it for a few weeks and see if you feel any different. Flowers
