Has anyone been diagnosed with schizophrenia at a later age and would share their story?

I was diagnosed with Schizoaffective disorder (bipolar type) at 41 which is similar; prior to that my diagnosis was depression with psychosis since a breakdown at 35 / 36.

I take the anti psychotic Aripiprazole 30mg a day but still regularly get paranoid thoughts plus occasionally visual hallucinations.
I also take Venlafaxine 337.5mg for depression.

I go through phases when I suffer from the negative symptoms such as lack of motivation with daily activities.

I do struggle to hold down a part time job as I only get low rate PIP anyway I enjoy my job & like my team although I get very paranoid & stressed at times.

Most people wouldn't look at me & think I have a serious MH illness as I have a good job, nice friends, a social life etc.
