What can you ring home based treatment team for out of hours?

Hi, I’ve been under home based treatment team for the last 6 weeks or so, they have given me a number to ring which is 24 hours but I don’t know whether to ring. I’m feeling really really low and feeling like everything is just pointless and feel completely overwhelmed with life, and struggling with feelings of wanting to drink myself into oblivion to change the way I feel, which I shouldn’t do as I am a recovering alcoholic. But I don’t know if this is something I can ring for? I think I’d feel stupid ringing.
I’m under them for bipolar and low mood and suicidal ideation. I also have ASD. They told me I can ring but I just don’t know what to say or even if I should, or could I ring the cmht number instead, or none and just get a grip?
Has anyone any experience of ringing the home based treatment out of hours number?

This is exactly the type of situation they are there for. Give them a ring if you don’t hear from them soon. xx

Hi, just wanted to check they rang you back in the end.
Don't worry about updating though. I hope you did get to speak to someone. X

Home treatment didn’t ring back last night, but they did today and came out and they will be back tomorrow. Last night the police came out to do a welfare check and spoke to me and the kids.

They told me to ring if I need them, but yet again I just can’t do it. I don’t know why!
I feel like I’m just going back to square one and everything is getting bad again.
Home treatment said today that they are waiting for my latest blood results and then they will increase my lithium though, so that’s a positive I guess… unless it just won’t work at all for me.

Hi, I only just realised you had posted again.
I am really happy that they came to see you and it sounds like you were able to talk quite openly and also that there's a start of a plan in place to help you through this rough bit.
I know it's a deeper situation than just increasing your meds but on the other hand it could really help. It will hopefully be the difference between how you've been feeling and making things better all round.
As far as the awkwardness you feel about reaching out to the team I think it's down to not feeling well at the minute but also it's one of those things that will get easier each time you do it. But also, now that you are seeing the crisis team each day maybe you ask if you could text instead, I bet lots of people would find it easier to do so nowadays.
Just to say that the pp who has similar experience of the home team sounds lovely and like a good person to talk to.
I really hope today is the start of a better week for you! X

Sorry Crazycakelady17 I’ve only just seen this message!
I just don’t like ringing them because I’m sure they must be sick of me now, I’ve been under them since the end of June! I’m just gonna tell them I’m fine tomorrow I think, it’s gone on too long now.
