Childcare issues and Anxiety- please help

Hi all,
I can’t afford to cut my hours any more than I have but had no choice due to childcare issues. I am supposed to finish at 3pm with the reduced hours, but I am being asked to instead come in an hour later and stay until 4pm.
This is because a 3pm finish would be “unfair” to the other staff and this “fits in with the needs of the business”.
I work for a large corporation and the flexible working policy qoutes the above (re business needs).
I have reluctantly agreed for the moment as it is the school holidays but I am having anxiety issues even when I am late to pick kids up from the childminder at 4.30pm. The childminder is only a family friend so it’s not as if she will fine me or get cross if I’m slightly late but I find myself getting really stressed when stuck in traffic and can’t make it to the kids on time.
When the holidays finish and it’s term time and school pick up is at 3.30pm - it’s going to be a whole different story.
I can feel myself already dreading it and my anxiety won’t be able to cope with it.

I don’t know how or where I stand at work.
Can anybody help please? TIA
