Deafness and anxiety

A bit of a weird one that I am curious to know if this is a thing with other people or its just me. Have googled it and there does seem to be a colleration but its a new symptom I am experiencing...

When I am stressed and anxious, even just moderately, I feel like my ears are very stuffy and have slight deafness..a bit like when you are on a plane. I have had my ears hoovered so I know they are perfectly clear. When I have regulated my mood the deafness goes.

I may actually be going deaf as I am nearly 50 and its not that unusual to have a slow decline in hearing. I am also perimenopausal and could be that. It just seems to be when I am anxious that it happens..it could be a coincidence.

Anyone else?

Have you talked to your doctor about this? It's not really something that can be accurately diagnosed on a forum.

Well they do say everything is connected! I've not come across it but that doesn't mean it isn't a thing!

Anxiety and stress effects people in so many different ways and each person's version is different.

I get this ! It only happens when really stressed but it’s like things are muffled !
Not what you want at all when your anxious.

I’m the same once the stress has passed fine xx
