Hi,

My question is if there was a course available to cover the fourth trimester after you’ve had a baby which covers physical brain changes in women, new dad changes, couples challenges, helping create a more harmonious home life after a new addition. Is that something people would be interested in?

I feel that you have a baby and are somehow left to your own devices even though it’s the most natural thing it is also the craziest thing to happen to your life/ your relationship and everything else. The course would be over 6-8 weeks and would cover allowing space to come to terms with your birth however it went, the reasons behind your feelings post baby, coping and communication tips, a new mum/ dad group, an hour conversation each week to off load and help, exercises aimed to help your new life balance and inclusion as a couple. It would not be counselling but would be written by a training therapist and life coach.

It is something I’m looking at creating with my sister we both have children of varying ages and we have and have had very different experiences of motherhood. I feel there is a real need for something like this after myself and many mums I know have struggled post birth. Of course we will touch on your child but the focus would be on regaining your calm.

If that something you think you or someone you know would be interested in please let me know or any subjects you would be interested in being covered. There would be a charge which is yet to be determined.

Thank you if you’ve read and I honestly would appreciate any feedback.

Katie x
