Does anyone else have this?

I experience it to the point where it can go on for weeks. I know its apprehension, and I know what its about, but that doesn't make it less crippling.

Does anyone have any advice?

Generalised anxiety disorder.... yeah. In my case it’s a symptom of PTSD but this isn’t the case for everyone.

Tbh getting to the root of it was fairly important for me in tackling it- but I appreciate not everyone wants to be therapised to within an inch of their lives...

Alternatives are that godawful word “mindfulness”- which I personally don’t have much truck with- seems to just be a rebranding of other broad spectrum techniques - also meditation, exercise, CBT, medication....

Have you looked into any of these? Have any taken your fancy?

The cycle goes like this: motivated, burn out, brain fog, anxiety, burnout and repeat. The only time to stop it is the first burnout, but I just can't seem to control it. There is an obsession, always, that my brain fixates on. Honestly it could be anything, but whatever it is, its not relevant to the situation.

I know when it started - 17 when I left school and went to college and struggled to find my feet. I do this thing where I ignore how I'm feeling and instead work hard.

Maybe I do need to go back to counselling or explore it further.
