Has anyone else been on this and it’s worked well? I was taking citalopram but it wasn’t managing my anxiety very well at all. Just switched to this and while no psychological side effects yet it’s making me feel really bloated and icky :(. Anyone?

I'm on my 4th week of Venlafaxine, I haven't felt a shift in my depression yet and my anxiety is managed with diazepam. From what I've read there can be some rough side effects and it does take a bit longer to fully kick in so I've heard. I haven't had any bad side effects but my appetite has completely vanished. I'm not too sad about this though as I've got a hell of a lot of baby weight to lose. I'm told it's one of the best ones out there so I'm just holding on and waiting for it to start working fully. Good luck to you I hope it works well for you xx

How are you feeling PollyPocket?

I'm starting in Venlafaxine tomorrow (switching from Sertraline). I'm anxious about the switch and how it might affect me but I really have to try something.

Wishing you all the best.

@SadRainbow I really feel your pain. I feel okay today, off and on tired and a bit sick. I’m really just trying to hold on! I thought I would feel worse for not having any citalopram in my system but I think if your swapping straight over it reduces any effects from coming off your tablets now.
Xxx

just linking you to my thread (I didn't see this one). I'm taking my first one tonight. I didn't get on with citalopram (side effects, was some time ago so I can't remember if I stayed on long enough to see an improvement in my mood).

Perhaps a few of us who are just starting can compare notes or support one another.

I've been taking venlafaxine since Tuesday and no negative effects so far Smile No positive ones either but I know it will take time.
