Why don't I fit?

No friends at all. Thought I did, they all went out yesterday, but I only found out from a picture on fb this morning. My DH questions everything I do. Work was my saving grace, but then I found out last week that people think I have special needs.
I'm done with people, I don't want to do this any more. I try to make friends, but I just can't.

Same here, I don’t seem to fit anywhere. The only time so called friends contact me is when they need something from me. I know I am not the most outgoing person, I am quite shy, not very good at chit chat but I do try. It is heartbreaking to realize that I have no one. Went to a hospital appointment on a Friday and when they asked me who was my next of skin, I couldn’t give a name I have no one apart my kids, my ex left me 4 years ago and since then, my life is falling apart. None of my friends asked me how my appointment went, even my colleagues did not ask and they knew about the appointment, no one seems to care.

I know the feeling. It's shit isn't it. I have DH but he's only interested in computer games or his ds. I do feel so isolated.

Same here, worst part is not being close to my family, I am a foreigner here, came to live here because of my ex. Cannot go back to my home country because of the kids, stuck here for foreseeable future, was going to move to northern Ireland for work but ex refuses that I took the kids so I turned down the position. When I was a teenager, I always felt like I was invisible and still do and I am 50.

Do you have family near by?
