Hi all. Just looking for a hand hold I suppose. I have contacted my Dr to get am appointment to discuss my anxiety. I have tried this before but always down played it when the appointment has come round. I suffer badly with health related anxiety mainly but recently I'm anxious all the time.
I got my covid vaccine a week ago and I have been in a state of panic ever since, it was my ds birthday on Saturday and I spent half the day just trying to pretend I was OK and not worrying.
They are going to ring me sometime today so I need to make it through to that call and have some courage to admit how much I am struggling.
I did the mental health questionnaire and scored 10 for depression and 15 for anxiety.
Any tips on how to handle the appointment?

Definitely be as fully honest as possible, @Charliebradbury. I find it can actually be easier over the phone. Flowers

Thanks. They have now emailed to say it will be tomorrow now which is a bit annoying after working myself up about it.

Write down what you want to say. If you can get a face to face appointment, hand it over. Or if you're near the surgery drop it in today. If it's just on the phone, explain that you've written it down and would like to read it to them.
