How treatable is OCD for those with autism?

My son’s therapist says it can’t be cured as such which I get so how treatable are his chronic intrusive thoughts and how likely is he to have a full and happy life?

Hello there. My son also suffers from intrusive thought OCD. I think he is on the autistic spectrum as well although we haven't had it confirmed yet. We are on the waiting list for camhs. Your poor son and you. I can sympathise as OCD can be truly awful. I'm here if you want to talk xxx
