Feel like I can't breathe

I literally feel like I can't breathe. The work/ home balance is just insane and I should not be in such a state after surviving homeschooling x 2 (DH worked outside of the home in both periods) and my DC are older. I have a full on job (highest earner) and shoulder all the mental load. Nothing I can do will get DH to take it on, he just does not see it. I constantly explode at him for just being shit at this and then reminding him, he's just hopeless with that.
I am really struggling now and it feels like a cumulative effect from the previous year which has seen said homeschooling plus extra work (I work in HE, we were and are slammed). I do the vast majority of childcare due to DH's shifts and whilst I know he can't change them I hugely resent his ability to switch between work and home whilst I constantly task switch. I feel that is just eroding everything atm.

I am so on the edge it is scary and really feel that I should not be given all I did scrape though (as we all did).

Is it just me or are there others feeling similarly? I feel one breath away from a breakdown atm.
