Coming off citalopram

Anyone have experience of coming off citalopram?

Years ago now, but I found it one of the easier antidepressants to come off. Best talk to your doctor first and they will probably reduce your dose down to the lowest possible (10mg I think?) Then I took it alternate days for a few days then just stopped.

I don't remember getting withdrawal with that one. Good luck if you decide to go for it.

Thanks. The dr suggested staying on it for 6 more months to build up coping strategies. Good to know it was ok coming off.

I found it extremely difficult. I was on 40mg for 5 years
