hello
have just been put onto efexor xl instead of fluoxitine which were not working. are you feeling any better with them ? or does anyone else have any experience on them please?

bump?

Not started them yet! Apparently they interact with Cipralex so I've geen on 1/2 does of cipralex for a wk, I've now got a 4 day break, then I stare on 1 tablet of venaflaxine, going up to 2 in another week!!! Think I may be insane by then! Feeling very achey atm-wondering if its withdrawal symptoms-any idea??

mwnn - never taken ciprelax but defo sounds possible that feeling achey can be part of withdrawal - i think withdrawal is commonly meant to make you feel a bit "fluey"

MummyToSteven · 12/11/2004 16:58

sorry meant cipralex ciprelax sounds like something completely different!

Felt like this when I came off prozac only much worse cos I'd had a bad reaction to it and had to stop suddenly whereas this time I've reduced my dose for a week first.Think i need pampering with wine and chocs tonight!!

yes me too!!
took first efexor yesterday, felt really weird in afternoon, almost drugged?, thinking and talking slow(i think i am anyway?)kept falling asleep, then went to bed at 8pm! and didnt get up till 8.30(other than a 3 hour awake stint with dd..teething).
still feel 'mellow' today but not 'quite' as tired as yesterday, feel quite sicky but thats good cos ive hardley eat all day and that will do we no harm for a while!
feel quite down and disheartend anyway lately, and cant be botherd with stuff, but although still anxious and thinking of mad things, feel like im in a bit of a bubble!
just emailed my bil whos a pharmacist to ask about efexor for anyone else taking it.
