Hello, I am wondering if anyone here can help me. I am 26 years old and have anxiety and a really fast heart rate. Jan 1st 2021 I was taken into hospital because my heart rate was 172 lying in bed. After many many tests they could see why it was so high and I spent a night in for observation. Whilst I was in there I was put on beta blockers Bisopronol. Now 6 months down the line my heart rate has come down a lot, not sure if it's the walks I've been doing, the medication or a combination of both. After leaving hospital I had a 24 HR tape done which showed my average heart rate throughout the day was 101 which a max reading of 160 and a low reading of 72 - whilst sleeping my heart rate averaged at 80 (which seems too high for me) in march I had a heart echo scan which came back as normal too.

I will attach a photo from my Samsung active watch which was a screenshot from this week, the stats are looking good.

However I saw online taking bisoprinolo can cause heart failure and that's my biggest fear. Heart failure scares the hell out of me. Does anyone know if beta blockers are bad long term? I'm also scared to stop taking them incase my heart rate goes through the roof again, can a high heart rate kill me? Will exercise long term really bring it down. I'm so scared and worried
