She self harms and has suicidal ideation off it. I know she's been self harming again, it can be brutal when she does it - she uses a razor, has needed stitches in the past. Has lots of intrusive thoughts, some serious suicide plans, but, AFAIK no attempt.
She did not really engage with psychology, she did in that she was polite and kept appointments, but, she didn't want to be there.
She said sertaline was really helpful and reduced the intrusive thoughts and that she felt great on it...
...so why have I just found the last 2 months of tablets in her room?
There isn't really anything I can do - she is off to uni soon, she's really and adult, but, ugh, I feel so sad.
Is there any way I can persuade her to take the medication she said was helping? Or, do you think it is possible that it didn't help and she just said it was to please me?
