I have been having a hard 8 weeks with anxiety and then not sleeping which was then making it worse. I have been put back on sertraline and it is slowly helping xx

That's good you're noticing improvement. I was on 20mg fluoxetine for a year or so but then ipped my dose in December, but as of late doesnt appear to be helping too much. Trouble is it's so hard to get a doctors appointment xx

Yep same! It's so dangerous how they're running the practices, I know they're obviously very busy but it is dangerous.
God forbid you have more that one issue you want addressed with them, I can imagine most people just give up xxx

Yes I'm suffering from these at the moment. I've been on sertraline for four weeks so far. I'm getting perhaps two hours sleep most nights - sometimes less. I'm probably in the worst place I've ever been in but trying to cope. It kind of helps to know there are others struggling with the same. I'm clinging to the hope the sertraline is going to help.

Magic1231 · 18/05/2021 18:39

Bless your heart, I completely empathize. Are you feeling any benefits from the sertraline?
I'm the same, my sleep seems to be getting worse by the day, it's a vicious cycle.
You're brave for atleast trying to cope, I'm really not coping at all xxx

You are coping, even if you don't think you are xxx

The sertraline has been hellish in terms of 'side effects'. One possible positive effect is that I have been able to fall asleep without taking anything to help me sleep, for the first time in many weeks. I've also got more appetite than I had so I'm eating better.

I hate my anxiety. I also struggle to stay asleep. I’m constantly up all night not getting to sleep until 4 am. It’s horrible. I feel tired and exhausted all the time. My doctor prescribed me Xanax. According to the Canadian pharmacy site, disturbed sleep is one of its side effects. I'm going to visit the doctor next week. Maybe he will recommend other pills and I'll finally sleep better. Also, I'm thinking about doing yoga, I heard it might be helpful.
