Are there any withdrawl symptoms when coming off AD's?
Not sure if i am experiencing withdrawl or if the depression is coming back.

did you come off tehm slowly or quickly? if too quickly, then you will feel really bad

deenymcqueenygoreandguts · 15/11/2007 18:30

yep, dead quick.
Forgot to take one, then just decided to not continue with them.
Feeling rubbish, however not as bad as i imagined i would feel.

Need to know if this is depression tho, or withdrawl and how long to expect it to last.

crystal ball any one?

I would say its with-drawal, and its not pleasent!

You could try taking half a dose, it will make you feel beeter straight away, then cut down that way

What are you on?

deenymcqueenygoreandguts · 15/11/2007 18:36

citalopram 20mg.
am tempted to just see it through,

give it another week then nip to Docs for advice.

trying to concieve, dont want to be on pills.......dont want to be jumping off buildings either

I have just realised you were on another thread a slightly differnet name, and are pregnant?

I would go doctors for advice xx

Lulumama · 15/11/2007 18:36

you should come off slowly and under medical supervision

nope, no crystal ball, but if you are not ready to come off them, or you come off too quick, you are not helping yourself !

deenymcqueenygoreandguts · 15/11/2007 18:41

not me, im not preggers yet..fingers crossed for soon tho.

You wont believe it, but i just havent had time to go to the Docs this week, should be a ble to get there next week.

not helping myself no, seemed like a good idea at the time. do feel ready to come off them. Been on them for about 2 years.
its time to at least try.
