Is this dose too low?

I’ve being on antidepressants for ten years now. I was on citalopram (40mg) but felt like they stopped working so went on to sertraline (150mg), they wiped me out so went onto mirtazapine(30mg). I started to get tinnitus so I spoke to the Doctors pharmacist who has put me on Fluoxetine (10mg).
This dose seems really low to me, I haven’t felt in a good way mentally since I was on Citalopram, but unfortunately they no longer go above 40mg now.
It just seems like a waste of time starting me on 10mg.

Hello. I understood (from my GP) that the starting dose was 20mg unless prescribing for children. I'd query this as BNF also states this. There is a fluoxetine thread on here that you are welcome to join as there are a few of us taking this medication.
