Workplace bullying

Hi
I have been bullied by a patients family for the last 9 months i reported it and kept going and working in this home for sometimes 8 hours a day still being bullied. I brought it up with my manager a month ago and they agreed said they would refer me to occupational health as they wouldn’t remove me from the family even tho other people could cover it instead, didn’t address the problem with them. This was a month ago have been off sick a month my sick note runs out but I haven’t been to occupational health yet and my anxiety is back going through the roof thinking about going back to work. Will the GP sign me off again if I say this am worried he’s going to say no.

Your manager should not allow you to be bullied. What were the family doing to you. The manager has a duty of care to ensure your safety and wellbeing. I would make an appointment with occupational health yourself and your gp. Are you in a union or a member of a professional body like a nurse. Are you permanent or an agency worker. I would be looking for another job if my manager behaved like that

I am looking for another job desperately got some interviews this week. I am permanent they agreed she was but not sure if they have spoken to her as I have been off since just being critical constantly about unimportant stuff 9 months of constant grinding me down last time I went they called me useless said I can’t do anything right. Have got GP this week so scared he is going to say no to longer off. My manager has to refer to occupational health been waiting 4 weeks and they still haven’t received it when I rang they are now on leave for 2 weeks so it’s going to be at least another month. I am in Union but I haven’t contacted them since thank you x

I would contact your union and get signed off, workplace stress is terrible, good luck finding another job with people who care about their staff. Your manager is letting everyone down, you deserve better than that.
