Anxiety symptoms - nausea and vomiting

I have a GP appointment this afternoon and was wondering if anyone has ever been prescribed anti sickness medication for anxiety symptoms of nausea and vomiting.

My anxiety is back with a bang and it’s a vicious circle where it goes straight to my stomach. I feel anxiety which causes terrible nausea, then I get even more anxious that I’m going to vomit (I work in a client facing role and to throw up in front of a client would be awful) which makes it worse up to the point that often I do actually vomit.

I’m due back at work on Monday and have already been worked up to the point of being sick at the thought of it.

The last time this flared up a number of years ago I was able to buy Motilium (domperidone) over the counter and it definitely helped break the cycle, it massively eased the nausea and the fear of being sick allowing me to work on the cause of my anxiety in the first place. I’m just not sure a GP will prescribe it.

Does anyone have any experiences, or tips to help me please?

Could you get Maxalon on prescription?
I found sucking mints or fruit sweets helped me. Maybe try the acupressure wrist bends. Bach rescue remedy pastelles may help or lavender or peppermint oil on wrists & temples. Sipping ice cold water helps me too. I also found rubbing in hand cream & concentrating on the palms helped distract me.
