Stopping antidepressants abruptly

Due to the bank holiday (and the pain that i have to get weekly prescriptions) I have missed my sertraline 150mg for 2 days now. I am feeling a bit off but as I didn't want to be on them anyway, should I just ride out these withdrawal symptoms?
Has anyone else done the same? Thank you x

How long have you had them? If you've been on them a long time it can be dangerous to stop suddenly. I've been on mine years and my GP has warned me that stopping suddenly is not an option and that it could cause heart problems.

Please don't do this, you need to taper off slowly.

Please discuss this with your GP.

@nothingcanhurtmewithmyeyesshut thank you for replying. Are you on sertraline? I've been on them well over a year.

I came off cold turkey in November - similar to you, missed a couple of days and thought let’s push through (having also wanted to stop anyway). I’d been on for about two years and would say it took 2, maybe 3, weeks to fully feel normal. I had days of ‘brain zaps’ and just feeling ‘weird’ but nothing too awful, and out the other side I felt so much ‘clearer’. My memory and clarity of thought was so much better (and the reason I’d wanted to come off was because my cognitive function was feeling horribly slow and blurry).

That said I’m by no stretch a medical expert so ideally I would recommend GP convo. Nothing to lose in getting their take

No, Amitriptyline. Have had Sertraline in the past though. You're best to taper off if you want to stop, over weeks or months. Otherwise you'll be miserable at best and at worst you could do yourself a damage.
