Anyone know of something good to help self-harming scars on my teen daughter heal?

Just that really .. she's coming home for Easter and recently confided how upset she was that the scars on her wrists weren't healing.

Yes, sadly is self-harming which we hadn't realised although we know about her other mental health issues.

I'd love to give her a cream or something which might help them fade? Don't mind how expensive - this is important.

Is there anything that's worked for you?

Silicone silicone scar gel / silicone scar patches

Bio oil does nothing special you could just use olive oil 😂 ^ silicone patches / gel have actual research behind them

Someone I know uses olive oil as moisturiser. No other skincare. She has lovely skin.

How is she now, mentally? I hope she is in ‘a better place’.

Thanks all... yes Vit D is something I regularly top up for her and me since finding she was deficient in early teens.

Mentally - not great - surviving not thriving. Which is progress but a long way from what one would love and hope for one's child

Another vote for Bio Oil, it's amazing stuff.

My surgeon recommended E45 cream with some drops of oil of lavender added, massaged well in. I used to squeeze a blob of the cream into a little ramekin dish and stir in the lavender oil with a orange stick or similar.
It worked really well.
