My husband lost his dad 12 months ago it has hit him really hard, I had covid in October and was quite ill it was the straw that broke the camels back for him and he was signed off work for stress and anxiety. He's been on anti depressants for 12 months. He has returned to work on Monday as he was told he has used all his sick pay. He's on a phased return. I work in a school and have been at work all lock down. It was dds online option evening tonight I asked oh to come on to the meeting and he said he was on the phone. Turns out he was on the phone to the GP and he has taken 2 overdoses in the last 2 weeks. I dont know what to do or how to help him. He was getting counselling from work but that ended last week he could have had 2 more sessions but was told he didn't need them. The gp told him to self refer. My own mental health is not great im struggling with the children work etc and am still suffering from long covid. I don't know how to handle all this.

Hi @jmh740 I haven't anything much to offer except a handhold. What a difficult time for you and your dh. Flowers you have got so much on your plate. Maybe a helpful bump will lead to someone being able to offer some advice. You might find some useful resources on the mind website. And www.samaritans.org has loads of useful information on it.
