Oh op. I'm sorry. Do you want to talk about it?Flowers

LawnFever · 05/03/2021 20:55

Sorry your daughter isn’t well, I hope the hospital gets her the help she needs

Hope you’re doing ok, do you want to talk about it? I’ve experienced lots of family members being sectioned, it’s scary but they’ve got the care they needed

Enterthewolves · 05/03/2021 20:57

I’m so sorry that must feel very scary for you both. I hope she is safe and that her mental health team are supportive

Justkeepsmilingitsnewyear · 05/03/2021 21:00

Just checking in OP, hope your daughter is doing ok?

Justkeepsmilingitsnewyear · 09/03/2021 22:29

Thank you.
It’s been a roller coaster that’s for sure.
She’s in isolation....Covid & clearly she feels crap too. I’d love to bring her home but deep down I know she wouldn’t be safe.
Any suggestions on stuff I can take her to do to help pass time....

That's very sad. It must have been traumatic for both of you in the run up to this, but hopefully she'll get the care she needs now.

How old is she?

Lotsachocolateplease · 09/03/2021 22:41

Things she might like
Magazine -easier to concentrate on than a book.
Adult colouring books and pens
Word searches or similar

Justkeepsmilingitsnewyear · 09/03/2021 22:46

She is 17 - I’ve been trying to get help for her for sometime. Problem is she is old enough to apparently decide for herself!
Thank you for suggestions - Amazon delivery coming tomorrow!

Drawing book and pens/pencils; notebooks/journals some people like to write or make plans; jigsaw puzzles; audible subscription if she has a device to listen on - sometimes listening to books is more soothing than reading; good set of headphones; she may want her phone to communicate with friends and support networks. So hard to be on section and isolated for covid how challenging no wonder you feel crap about it. Rest is most important if she can get it.

Justkeepsmilingitsnewyear · 10/03/2021 03:32

Thank you.
Puzzle is a good idea as well as subscription. She has her phone apart but they forget to put it on to charge but also the reception & wifi are so bad.
