Could this be PTSD

My mental health has been deteriorating recently. Bit of background

Went for some routine tests at GP, one of these tests picked something up and nurse said basically it looked like id had a heart attack. All other tests were normal apart from chest X-ray which picked up some bone deformity. Anyway gp said if I have any chest pains go straight to a&e. Couple of days later I had chest pains ( don't know if it was a panic attack looking back). Whilst in a@e ecg was abnormal and nurse gave me the printed ecg to wait in waiting room. At top of ecg it said "abnormal reading, insert pacemaker" and lots of other medical terminology. When I read this I went into panic, I had this feeling I had never felt before, couldn't control myself, pacing up and down, it felt like an adrenaline rush. I saw dr who said given all other observations i probably haven't had a heart attack but it could be long covid and explained to ignore the terminology at the top of the ecg.

Ever since then my mental health has gone down. I'm not eating, sleeping, can't think straight, with other physical anxiety symptoms. I feel like it's turning into depression. I had nothing like this before this event. I'm speaking to dr on Monday but I honestly don't know what to do

That sounds like health anxiety rather than PTSD and for good reason. A scare like that can give anyone anxiety. Some CBT might help you, you can even do a course online.

It doesn't sound like ptsd but it does sound like anxiety! Hope all goes okay with gp on Monday x

That sounds like a panic attack. The hospital should notify your GP of the results of tests carried out. Ask to see a copy of anything the hospital sends and if there's any terminology you don't understand ask your doctor to explain. This will help put your mind at rest. Hope all goes well tomorrow.
