Hi all,

I'm just wondering if anyone has a feeling that they are 'truly special'?? Like deep in your soul believe it?? Is there such a thing that exists?

No...we're all equal. Nobody IS special...people might do or achieve special THINGS but being special? No. All humanity is equal...should be anyway.,

A few narcissists....

Or maybe schizophreniform types

No, I'm far from special. We are, or should be, all equal.

I feel special when my baby's face breaks into a massive grin just for me in the mornings. And when I get home or pick my toddler up from nursery and she comes running up shouting, 'Mummy!' looking like all her Christmases came at once.

Children and animals, I think, are very good at making people feel special.

Also, I think people are all special because everyone is unique. PP might be confusing feeling special with feeling superior.

I often feel lucky not necessarily special.

No, I never feel truly special, it's a real shame as everyone deserves to feel special.

I think if you have people in your life that make you feel special then you are truly blessed.

If you just feel superior to others that often makes you a bit of a twat - the worlds full of those right now so I suspect there's alot out there....God complexed, instagrammed, 'liked/followed'....

It really depends whether this is just a feeling or something makes you feel this way.

I'd settle on happy/content- 'Truely special' is a long way to fall from when life happens.

This has summed it up for me and the comment of the smile on my children's face.

I was meaning I suppose special within your loved ones eyes not special as superior to others. No way am I that, I don't believe I'm anything special. Apart from I have to believe that I am special to my children, I mean we all are aren't we to them? Their only mummy etc I remember watching ds first nativity - they filmed it and sent it to parents to stop everyone using their phones and his face lights up when he spots me walking in finding a seat. They only have eyes for us 🥰
