Hey, just wanted to check others experiences, I have been on 50mg of setraline since December after the side effects wore off it was like a miracle like someone had turned off my panic and anxiety with a switch I was also sleeping so much better. The last week or 2 i have felt like everything has come back, I’m not sleeping great having heart palpitations dizziness that I was previously getting. My dr advised me to increase to 100mg but I’m now anxious (funny that!) about taking such a ‘high’ dose ... had anyone been in the same boat? Thanks xx

Hi I went from 50 to 100 and it made the difference for me...however if 50 has been working really well for you is there other stuff you could do?
Are you managing to exercise? Do stuff for leisure/ pleasure? Do stuff that gives you a sense of achievement and social stuff (obv withing the current restrictions?
Eating well, trying to get enough rest?
Those things are all worth a try if you'd prefer not to up your dose,
If you're like at optimising all the wellness stuff and it's not working for you then you could think about the dose again?

Thanks for the reply I have been sticking to healthy eating and exercise as setraline has given much more energy to do so, I just feel like my body has maybe adapted to the dose, it’s almost as if I have forgot to take my medication. I have take 75mg this morning and plan to do so for the next week and see how that goes x

Hi
I don’t have much advice but wanted to same I’m the same at the moment. I have been on 50mg but this will be my 3rd week so not as long as you. However even after one week I felt a slight improvement, not massively but less tearful. But this week I have felt back at square one. I’m thinking GP might increase my dose too.

Sorry to hear your havi by a dip! My experience was really up and down for the first 3-4 weeks then about week 5 I really noticed changes in my mood and less anxious thoughts. It’s a slow process but it was working so great for me! I suppose it’s tweaking until we find the right dose we will all be different x

Have you been taking your increased dose the last few days? Have you had any side effects from it?
I’m just debating if having this dip would just indicate the dose needs to be increased or just to stick it out to week 4 and see if it starts helping again.

I’m day 3 of 75mg to be honest I don’t really feel any different, still a bit anxious the last few days however no side effects? A sore head the last few days but that would just be work related. When I started these meds I was signed off work but Iv been fine working this week and increasing my medication. Did you speak to your GP?

That’s good news. I’m assuming if you were going to get any side effects from the increase, you would have got them by now. I didn’t even think about a gradual increase I just thought it would jump from 50mg to 100mg. I haven’t spoken to the GP yet, the health visitor came out Tuesday and said hopefully coming up to end of this week (will be end of week 3/start of week 4) that it’s likely I’ll see an improvement but if not suggested I phone GP. So I think I’ll stick it out until Monday and see what happens. I’m such an idiot though I went to bed and forgot to take my tablet and now not sure if I should take it this morning and continue in the mornings or just scrap that dose and continue as normal tonight 😩
