Is it just me

Is it just me or are mental health services in this country a bit shit?

I just don't feel I am
getting anywhere.... going round and round in circles and yet there are so many people
who are expecting me to have this miraculous recovery.

I feel absolutely hopeless and so desperately lonely.

I have severe anxiety and moderate depression.

It feels like nobody gives a shit.

I have a family member who says this, but he has twice weekly councilling. A social worker provided through the crisis team, Dr appointments for meds etc.

I often wonder what he expects tbh? What support really looks like to people.
Its easy to say it should be better, but how should it be better?

For change we need a clear vision of what's wanted/needed

You're definitely not alone on this one! They are crap! Yes they do a lot of good but they are so underfunded that they scrape by with doing the bare minimum for most people and it's not good enough.

I finally managed to get together enough for some private therapy since I was getting nowhere with nhs. I'd definitely recommend it if you are able! I had to save for a while but it seems worth it so far. On the other hand, if you ask for specific therapy like cbt or dbt, the nhs should be able to give you that...keep on at them and I hope you'll get somewhere x
