Sertraline 50mg

Started Sertraline 50mg 2 weeks ago for anxiety as I was feeling suicidal. First few days more suicidal thoughts. I've been having massive adrenaline rushes on waking, almost like a burning throughout my whole body. Also, I'm not sleeping. I don't know whether they are helping. How long should I give them? Do they work for churning tummy and intrusive/obsessional thoughts well? All I can think about is the anxiety and one particular topic. And the fact that I'm never getting better. Is there hope?

They really helped me, along with CBT, for some distressing thoughts I was having. I started to notice a difference at 4 weeks then have felt steadily better since then and now I feel back to my old self. It might be worth checking back in with your GP for some support and reassurance - my GP told me that I would get better and that was so helpful when the going was tough. Wishing you all the very best and a quick recovery Flowers

It took 8 weeks for me to settle with mine but since then they have genuinely changed my life. I function better and have less bad days. Premenstrual I still get anxious but otherwise I am more laid back, sleeping better and worrying less. I also use APPS scheduling, and grounding exercises. To help me stay well.
