Rare/serious side effects from sertraline - help

I posted about sertraline earlier this week.

But I am worried as symptoms have changed and google says call doctor immediately.

Basically, I started first time taking 50mg sertraline exactly a week ago. Come Wednesday I had the worst day of my life or certainly one of - shakes, headache, feeling sick and extreme fatigue and funny mouth taste. Anyway I persevered as many people say after a week it gets better.

I have been feeling better last couple of days but still the fatigue and slight funny taste, but today my gum started bleeding. I didn't think anything of it and just thought it was weird, then googled just to check not yet another side effect of this damn drug.

Well it is, and apparently a serious one. I'm worried though as if I suddenly stop taking will I go cold turkey?

What should I do?

I'm also feeling deflated by this experience

And has anyone else had bleeding gums from this medication?

I haven't had bleeding gums from Sertraline, but I think 111 would probably be the best resource for information.

Usually people are started off on the lowest possible dose so that they can discontinue if necessary without any problems. But a doctor would be able to confirm that and let you know if you should do anything else.
