Citalopram 10mg to 20mg

Hey! I was prescribed 10mg of citalopram for panic disorder around a month ago but was increased to 20mg today, as I started to feel worse again.

However, I'm worried about experiencing side effects again. Last time, they weren't too bad (clenched jaw, nervousness, etc) and they eased off in a week, so I was wondering if it's possible that I won't get any side effects this time round?

Hi there, it's different for every person but when my dose was increased I did experience the side effects again. However, I was better prepared for them this time round and I feel they were less intense and didn't last as long.

You won't get them as badly and possibly not at all as you are already used to it.

Hi started on 10mg of citalopram 19 days ago and have experienced bad sleep waking after 4 hours and struggling to get back to sleep, no appetite and good and bad days, is it to early to press my gp for a dose increase to 20mg, and is anyone else experiencing these symptoms? Just looking for so hope

I split a 20mg in half and take 10 in the morning & 10 at night. The dr told me one tablet would not stay in system for 24 hrs so this stops me feeling the bad anxiety I was getting in the morning. I did feel too spaced out & nauseous when taking one 20mg tablet but find splitting them works for me.
