Sertraline - fatigue

Just wondering if others have experienced fatigue as a side effect of sertraline and how long it lasted?
I've been taking it for 5 weeks - 2.5 weeks at 25mg and the last 2.5 weeks at 50mg. Just feeling really knackered and low in energy. I'm ready to go straight to bed at 9.30 and feel tired when I wake up - even though I'm sleeping ok.
Otherwise it's been ok - anxiety has reduced and mood is less desperate.
Just wondered if this tiredness is something that's likely to pass - or not?

I'm fatigued most of the time since taking it, no amount of sleep is ever enough. X

Thanks @justanothermamma - sorry to hear that. I was hoping it might wear off. Just also feel like no amount of sleep is enough

I've been on it since July last year. Started on 50mg and felt so tired all the time, and like I was walking through treacle! Then it settled down and I was okay but it wasn't effective enough, so dose increased to 100mg, less dramatic this time, I felt tired and had a few naps in the afternoons but not too bad for this time of year anyway. Now I feel fine.

Sertraline makes me super tired too.

I’ve been taking it for probably a year or so ( I’m 43 and male) and in the last 6months I’ve upped the dose to 200mg/day and whilst ‘tired’ most of the time I don’t think the sertraline is causing it. There are definitely other side effects of this drug though which I will discuss if requested.

@Clash I felt exactly as you describe but it has reduced and now at 7 weeks or so my energy levels are so much better. I remember a couple of weeks ago thinking... Will this ever stop... And questioned whether I was doing the right thing taking the medication. And for me it has pretty much gone. I've been on it before and it passed then too.

Thanks for replies - sounds like it might improve then - fingers crossed. Have also been trying to grab a nap or lie down in the afternoon - I can deal with it if it's for a few weeks but would find it difficult longer term
