I've never had one before until a couple of weeks ago, shaking, felt like i couldn't breath, dizzy, felt sick. I had another today. I know what has caused it but I'm so scared. I've got a telephone call with the doctor tomorrow...will they give me medication?

I wouldn’t have thought medication just yet as it’s your first couple of experiences of them. Look at breathing exercises but I know how hard it is. Horrible, aren’t they. It’s the unpleasantness of the whole panic attack and the fear of it happening again which can cause another too.

Hope you are feeling a bit better now Flowers

Unfortunately I think many people myself included are experiencing high levels of anxiety right now.
Your Doctor may suggest propranolol which is a mild beta blocker that can assuage the physical effects of panic.

They are awful. I've never experienced anything like it. I know what's causing it; I'm waiting for some results, but I just can't control them Sad

They are bloody horrible but try to remember that anxiety is generally highly treatable and often strongly attached to certain stimuli.
Easy to say, I know!
